Calvigioni's first month: "Anusca, a cohesive team."

Renzo Calvigioni, 71, is at the helm of Anusca
A further boost to training and a halt to business investments. The path taken by the new president of Anusca, Renzo Calvigioni, inevitably follows in the footsteps of the final years of his predecessor, Paride Gullini, the soul and father of the Association. Gullini passed away earlier this year after a life dedicated to Anusca, a journey that Calvigioni himself, upon taking office, described as "impossible to repeat or equal." A striking portrait of Gullini now hangs at the Association's entrance, welcoming everyone. On the first floor, in the same office as the "President," Renzo Calvigioni has been in office since June 21st. Seventy-one years old, from Macerata, a lifelong Anusca expert and omnipresent at the annual national conferences, his first weeks at the helm of the association have been "extremely intense, packed with work, even beyond all reasonable expectations," he admits. A burden that doesn't scare him, and one he shouldered in the only way possible to work best: moving bag and baggage from Macerata to Castel San Pietro, only to discover within a few weeks that "they are two places that are similar." "I knew Castel San Pietro," he says. "I was here often, but I didn't live there and I didn't experience it. Now I can say I've found similarities that make me feel a little at home. It's a place on a human scale, everyone knows each other a little, and that's something that has a positive value for me." He spends "at least five days out of seven" in the city and returns to the Marche "only on weekends when there are no meetings," and his calendar is still empty under "vacation," while his courses, those yes, are clearly highlighted. "We've never stopped," he continues. "We have one right now, then we'll have another on civil status and one on the registry office. It might have seemed like a gamble to schedule one on August 5th and 6th, but in three days—I repeat, three days—we've had a full house of registrations. And do you know what else is incredibly important? It's the fact that municipalities are the first to support and encourage their employees to come and train at Anusca."
This is an unmistakable sign "of how the quality of Anusca's training is recognized by municipalities nationwide," and therefore it is right to focus on "maintaining the quality of the courses while simultaneously increasing their number." Calvigioni is more than a little eloquent about the staff. "As soon as I joined the Association in this role, they immediately saw me as one of them; they made themselves fully available, and they demonstrated not only their commitment, but also their desire to grow," the president emphasizes. And while the new president's decisions include the recent official announcement that the National Conference will be moved from Abano Terme to the newly formed Cesenatico next December, Calvigioni has drawn a clear line regarding the Anusca Group. "There will be no new business investments, and this is a request that our members also make. The task in the near future will be to ensure that the businesses that are already part of the group function well, just as they have done so far."
